We started Foreign Correspondent in 1995 as a bilingual pen pal magazine for Japanese who wanted to correspond with people from all over the world in English. We published 19 issues (18 on paper and one online). The magazine is gone, but the web penpal database is still going strong (8000+ penpals!)
